Since founding MRETEC, Michael has overseen the company’s emergence as a leader in both the Federal and commercial Infrastructure Protection and Cyber Security markets. Over the past three years MRETC has grown exponentially and is now operating in over 35 states. In 2013 MRE Technology Solutions was named as a Baltimore Business Area, Top 25 Veteran Owned Small Business.
Michael has over 25 years of experience in the technology sector, supporting programs across the Federal government, commercial and international business segments and has been recognized for his innovative accomplishments throughout his career including the Booz Allen Hamilton Professional Excellence Award. Prior to founding MRETEC, Michael served in various senior management roles with the United Sates Army, Booz Allen Hamilton and Cambridge Technology Partners.
Michael holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Computer Science and Statistics, a Master’s Degree in Management and is a graduate of the United States Army War College.
Jack Gardiner is Vice President, Technology Applications Group (TAG) for MRE Technology Solution LLC (MRETEC). He is a capstone member of the firm joining as the first employee in 2004. Jack brings 13 years of business development, staffing and project management to the team.
As Vice president of MRETEC TAG, Jack currently manages all infrastructure protection programs and efforts supporting Unites State Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), US Capitol Police (USCP), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). MRETEC infrastructure protection programs include Field Service Engineering and sustainment of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Emergency Management and Response Systems, Explosive and Trace Chemical Detection efforts.
Jack holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in History and Foreign Relations Policy from Colorado State University. He was born and raised in Annapolis, MD and is an avid boater and fisherman.
Andy Kendrick is Vice President, Advanced Development Group for MRE Technology Solutions LLC (MRETEC). He brings over 20 years of intelligence analysis, program management, and business process improvement experience within the Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security, and Information Technology sectors.
Andy joined MRETEC from A1C Partners, LLC where he held the position of Vice President of Intelligence Accounts and led contractor efforts with respect to the Analytical Framework for Intelligence (AFI) at Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Prior to this, Andy served as Director, Submarine Platforms Division at the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) and has previously supported numerous private sector and Federal government clients in large-scale Information Technology initiatives. He led the Project Monitoring and Control and Performance Management groups under the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) multi-billion dollar ITMS contract and has been a key consultant in multiple Fortune 100 companies’ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformations. Representative clients include the TSA, CBP, Pitney Bowes, ExxonMobil, and DuPont.
Andy holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, is a former Naval Submarine Officer, was a Qualified Engineer on Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants, and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Mr. Glenn has over 25 years of professional experience encompassing a wide range of national and international industries, including banking, management consulting, commercial IT systems, government, and defense. He was the founder and President of Argus Technology Associates, Inc. prior to joining MRE Technology Solutions and is a member of (ISC)2.
Mr. Glenn also held the position of Affiliate Instructor at Loyola University, Baltimore. At Loyola, he was a principal in the development and launch of a MBA- Cybersecurity Certificate program within Sellinger’s Business school. He developed and taught three courses within the certificate program. He is also a member of Sellinger’s Advisory Board for Information Systems and Operations Management. Before founding Argus Technology Associates, Mr. Glenn held senior management and IT positions with a community bank, Booz Allen & Hamilton, FileNet Corporation, and the Hughes Aircraft Company. He received a M.S. degree in Interdisciplinary Telecommunications from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University.
Jeffrey Kidwell is the Contracts Manager for MRE Technology Solutions LLC (MRETEC). He brings over 26 years of Fortune 100 Corporate Contracts and Financial Management experience within the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and Information Technology sectors.
Jeffrey joined MRETEC from Motorola Solutions Inc., where he held the position Senior Contracts and Compliance Manager reporting through the Corporate Counsel office. Areas of expertise include: Proposal Generation and Management; Audit and Risk Mitigation; Customer Facing Negotiations, Contract Award and Management; Acquisitions and Financial Management.
Jeff holds a Master’s of Science degree in Business Management from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland. Jeff has been awarded certifications in Six Sigma | Quality Control and Government Contracting | Audit Management.
Todd Armstrong is the Senior Field Services Manager for MRE Technology Solutions LLC (MRETEC). He brings 20 years of government program management experience. He also has experience in training, logistics, supply chain, and human resource management.
Todd joined MRETEC from SAIC where he held the position of Program Manager for the Sets Kits and Outfits (SKO) and the Chemical Biological Incident Force (CBIRF) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) programs for the United States Marine Corp (USMC). Todd supported several significant events under these programs, including: the Winter Olympics in Washington, International operations in Japan “Operation Tomodachi”, two Inaugurations, two State of the Union addresses, one Democratic National Convention (DNC), and one Republican National Convention (RNC). Prior to this, Todd spent eight years with Applied Marine Technology Incorporated (AMTI) where he managed programs supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), North Carolina, Alabama, and Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (DOC). Todd also spent four years with Autometric Incorporated managing programs supporting the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), United States Navy (USN), and the United States Air Force (USAF).
Todd holds a Master’s of Science degree in Human Resource Management and Development, Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial Technology. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Tom Hulsey is the Corporate Comptroller for MRETEC. He brings 30 years of government contracting finance and accounting experience. Tom spent 10 years with a small 8A DOD contractor supporting the growth where they successfully graduated from the SBA program. He then worked 15 years for Lear Siegler Services as a Division Controller responsible for 650 Million in annual revenues. Tom supported DOD operations that repaired US Army equipment worldwide. He established processes that streamlined financial transactions to ease administrative burden at the sites all while maintaining successful audits from DCAA. During his tenure he had successful assignments in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait where he was responsible for standing up the financial processes for high-profile DOD contracts. Most recently Tom spent 5 years with USRA (a non-profit) as a Corporate Controller supporting NASA scientific objectives. During his time at USRA the company doubled in size while decreasing indirect cost.
Tom specializes in process efficiencies that support a growing business base while maintaining clean and compliant records and audits. Tom also designs financial systems and processes with the operation in mind first.
Lucia Bender is Human Capital Manager for MRE Technology Solutions LLC (MRETEC). She brings over 13 years of intelligence analysis and Human Resources experience within Department of Defense and private sectors.
Lucia joined MRETEC from Herren Associates where she held the position of Human Resource Officer. Her duties while serving in this position included creating safety policy, streamlining new hire introductory processes to include comprehensive new employee orientation, human resources guidance and consulting for employee relations, organizational development, employment law compliance, and salary survey data collection to attract and retain staff.
Lucia holds GIAC Security Leadership Certification (DOD 8570 Certified), Maryland Health & Life License, and in the process in receiving her Professional Human Resource Certification.
